If you’re currently using the Attentive private app in Shopify, you aren’t able to use the Sync and Grow feature, which synchronizes historical and real-time SMS subscribers between the Attentive and Shopify platforms. By switching to the Attentive public app in Shopify, you’ll be able to collect marketing and transactional subscribers on your Shopify site and send them welcome journeys and transactional messages, respectively, through Attentive.

We strongly recommend that you disconnect the Attentive private app so that you can take advantage of all the existing and upcoming features available with the Attentive and Shopify integration.

Step 1. Disconnect the Attentive private app

Complete the following steps to disconnect the Attentive app, depending on where you’re seeing the integration:

1. Integrations tab in Attentive

First, look to see if the Shopify tile appears on the Integrations tab.

  • If yes, click the Shopify tile and complete the steps outlined in Disconnect an integration.
  • If no, move on to the next step.

2. Apps page in Shopify

If you don’t see the Shopify tile in Attentive, log in to your Shopify Admin account and delete the Attentive app.
